How the Education Bureau deals with teachers is as follows:

For the handling of teacher incidents, the Education Bureau will punish teachers from light to heavy according to the seriousness of the facts and the depth of social impact, so as to properly supervise teachers and safeguard school order and public interests. The general punishment range includes warning, dismissal, administrative detention and disqualification of teachers.

As follows:

According to the institutional reform plan of the State Council approved by the first session of the 11th National People's Congress and the Notice of the State Council on Institutional Establishment (Guo Fa [2008]11No.), the Ministry of Education was established as a department of the State Council.

Department responsibilities:

(a) to formulate the principles, policies and plans for education reform and development, draft relevant laws and regulations and supervise their implementation.

(two) responsible for the overall planning and coordinated management of all levels of education, in conjunction with the relevant departments to develop the standards for the establishment of all levels of schools, to guide the education and teaching reform of all levels of schools, and to be responsible for the statistics, analysis and release of basic education information.

(three) responsible for promoting the balanced development of compulsory education and promoting education equity, responsible for the macro guidance and coordination of compulsory education, and guiding the work of ordinary high school education, preschool education and special education. Formulate basic requirements and teaching documents for basic education, organize the examination and approval of national curriculum materials for basic education, and fully implement quality education.

(four) to guide the national education supervision, to be responsible for organizing and guiding the supervision, inspection, evaluation and acceptance of secondary and below secondary education and youth literacy, and to guide the monitoring of the development level and quality of basic education.

(five) to guide the development and reform of employment-oriented vocational education, formulate the professional catalogue of secondary vocational education, teaching guidance documents and teaching evaluation standards, and guide the construction of teaching materials and vocational guidance for secondary vocational education.

(six) to guide the development and reform of higher education, and to undertake the responsibility of deepening the reform of the management system of directly affiliated universities. Formulate the catalogue of higher education disciplines and teaching guidance documents, and review the establishment, renaming, cancellation and adjustment of institutions of higher learning in conjunction with relevant departments.

Responsible for the implementation and coordination of "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project", make overall plans for all kinds of higher education and continuing education, and guide and improve the evaluation of higher education.
