Second, recruits are generally simple, with high enthusiasm for study and work and strong desire for progress, but they are poor in independence, weak in will and fragile in feelings, often sensitive to praise and criticism, prone to emotional fluctuations, and prone to sadness or homesickness when life is hard and work is tense.
