Chengdu Agricultural University is located at No.211Huimin Road, Wenjiang District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
Chengdu Agricultural University, jointly established by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) (PRC) and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, is ranked as "Double First Class" and "Project 211"; Selected as the first batch of pilot units of the National Institute of New Rural Development, including 1 1 plan, outstanding agricultural and forestry talents education and training plan, and discipline construction plan for aiding Xinjiang, etc.
The predecessor of Sichuan Agricultural University is Sichuan Tongsheng Agricultural School, which was founded in 1906. It was merged into Sichuan University twice in 1927 and 1935. 1956, the Agricultural College of Sichuan University moved to Ya 'an, the former capital of Xikang Province, and established Sichuan Agricultural College. 1985, it was renamed Sichuan Agricultural University.
As of September 2022, the school has three campuses, namely Ya 'an, Chengdu and Dujiangyan, with a total area of about 4,500 mu and a collection of books 1 496,5438+0,000 volumes (pieces). There are nearly 3,600 faculty members, including 439 professors and 589 associate professors. There are 26 colleges, 15 research institutes (centers).
