Since then, the love of biology has taken root in his heart. After obtaining a bachelor's degree from Beijing Normal University, Zhang Yanyun stayed in school and worked hard for five years. After that, he studied for master's degree and doctor's degree in Beijing Normal University, and studied under the famous ornithologist Zheng. It has been five years since 1999 officially boarded the platform of Beijing Normal University. When it comes to teaching, Mr. Zhang Yanyun seems to have endless words. "I like the feeling of standing on the podium!" When he said this, he wore a bright smile. He likes teaching and puts a lot of energy into it. Teacher Zhang teaches General Zoology. In order to make students interested in this course, he pays great attention to preparing lessons carefully, and constantly supplements and improves his teaching content, keeps up with the new trends of the subject, and tries to enrich the latest content into his lecture notes. He is very demanding of his lecture notes, and he often corrects them over and over again. "There are no obstacles."

This is what he learned from his tutor Professor Zheng. Over the years, he has been asking himself to be conscientious, frank and open, do well and help. These two simple sentences contain diligence and simplicity, as well as many things that are scarce in the present society. In the interview, the teacher mentioned his tutor Zheng many times. In addition to modesty, the author felt his sincere admiration and love for the teacher. When the author asked about his experience of life, Mr. Zhang recalled the old days: "Life in middle school is also very bitter and frugal, and he is often reluctant to spend money to buy a dish to eat. Since his home is in the countryside, from junior high school to university, he never stops doing farm work in the fields every summer vacation. But it was the bitterness of eating at that time that tempered my strong character. When it is difficult, the bullet will pass. I believe: there is no hurdle. When the author asked what made him devote himself to teaching and scientific research so enthusiastically, Mr. Zhang Yanyun's answer was simple: interest. He loves his major very much. No matter how time-consuming and laborious the laboratory work is, no matter how tired the field investigation is, he is willing. In the past three years, he has presided over 2 scientific research projects of the State Forestry Administration, the 1 educational reform project of the Ministry of Education and participated in 3 national natural science research projects (of which 1 is the key project). Published many research papers and participated in the preparation of 2 monographs. The project "Ecological Biology and Domestication and Breeding of Rare and Endangered Pheasants in China" completed by Mr. Zheng and his research team won the second prize of National Natural Science in 2000, and Mr. Zhang was the third person to complete it. This award is also the highest honor that Beijing Normal University has won in the field of natural science.
