(2) Before intravenous pyelography, patients should limit water appropriately to reduce renal excretion, so as to increase the contrast agent concentration in the kidney and achieve the contrast effect. In order to promote the excretion of contrast agent after contrast examination, the amount of drinking water should be increased.
(3) Before taking pictures, the urine in the bladder should be emptied.
(4) Patients with edema need to lie prone 15 minutes before taking photos, so that the accumulated liquid around the kidney can spread, and then take photos on their backs, at which time the outline of the kidney can be clearly displayed.
(5) Iodine allergy test must be done before pyelography, and the test is negative.
