The deeper the citizens of a country know about their own history, the more they can inspire their patriotic enthusiasm. "The patriotism of our people was born and developed in the long historical process of the Chinese nation. Only by deeply understanding the long history and tradition of the motherland can we have reverence for the excellent culture of the motherland, and then have love and respect for the people who have created the splendid civilization of the motherland and the civilization of modern economic and political life. The Chinese nation has a history of 5,000 years, with talented people and bright stars. This rich cultural heritage is a valuable resource for patriotic education. By teaching a large number of rich historical materials, we can educate students to constantly absorb nutrition and cultivate sentiment in the excellent cultural treasure house of the motherland, and then realize the great creativity of the Chinese nation and its outstanding contribution to all mankind, and at the same time feel the pride of being a China person. Second, don't forget China's modern humiliation, but remember the revolutionary tradition. Forgetting the past means betrayal. Our people, especially the cross-century generation of young people, should know and firmly remember the humiliating history of the Chinese nation since modern times and never forget the national humiliation. 1In the 1940s, the imperialists bombed China with their powerful naval interests, unscrupulously tore this fertile and barren land and suppressed the people who dared to struggle, and the people of China fell into the semi-colonial and semi-feudal abyss. Fourth, it is the historical mission of every middle school student to safeguard the reunification of the motherland and national unity. Fifth, love your hometown and thank your parents for their upbringing. Loving to raise one's hometown is the starting point of loving the motherland. It is hard to imagine that a person who has no feelings for his hometown will have deep feelings for his motherland. Love for the motherland and love for hometown are inseparable. Most of the junior high school students I teach are fifteen or sixteen years old. They grew up in a relatively rich environment, and they don't know much about the hardships of the older generation in developing their hometown. They even don't believe in some things, and some are afraid of hardship and fatigue. However, the task of building a richer and more prosperous new hometown will fall on their shoulders historically. Therefore, it is very necessary to educate them on the history of Tongcheng development and construction. In the lecture, I paid attention to combining the development and construction history of Tongcheng with the history of the Republic. Tell their ancestors how to build poor and backward old Tongcheng into a beautiful and rich economic Tongcheng and cultural Tongcheng. In a word, patriotism education is a great project and a profound theme. It is a glorious and arduous task for every educator to educate students in patriotism, constantly improve their ideological and moral quality, cultivate socialist successors with ideals, morality, culture and discipline, and enable students to establish a national spirit of self-esteem, self-confidence and self-improvement through history teaching.
