Pingliang is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Gansu Province, a sub-central city of Gansu Province approved by the People's Government of Gansu Province, an important node city of the Silk Road Economic Belt, and an ecologically livable city in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region with cultural tourism, industry, commerce and logistics as the mainstay.
