How to deal with the development dilemma of vocational education under the background of economic globalization

With the process of economic globalization, vocational education is also showing the trend of internationalization. This morning, I heard a special report on the relationship between the construction of modern vocational education system and the improvement of China's opening up level, which was deeply inspired and benefited a lot. Here, I talk about the development of vocational education under the background of economic globalization with my own learning experience. Under the background of economic globalization, foreign high-quality educational resources will inevitably enter China's school-running market and expand domestic schools by virtue of their economic and cultural advantages. In addition, the number of school-age population is decreasing on a large scale. Therefore, vocational education is bound to face severe challenges and great pressure in terms of students and talent market. The author believes that to solve this problem, we should start from the following two aspects. First, highlighting the characteristics of running a school and enhancing the core competitiveness are important standards to measure the level of running a school and the quality of personnel training, which plays a vital role in the survival and development of a school. Take Hainan Vocational and Technical College of Economics and Trade as an example. In the process of running a school, special attention is paid to strengthening the construction of traditional specialties, focusing on the development of specialties such as financial management, business administration, international trade and tourism management with strong teachers and excellent students' quality and good employment. In the specialty construction, establish the leader system. In order to enhance the influence of traditional majors, build brands, recruit talents, actively introduce a group of professional construction leaders with profound professional knowledge and rich enterprise experience, give full play to their role in leading norms, and lead the development of various majors in the college. In the aspect of teaching and scientific research reform, special funds are set up to support professional teachers to carry out teaching and scientific research reform and improve the level of education and teaching. Encourage professional teachers and enterprise backbone personnel to jointly carry out horizontal research projects to provide intellectual support for local economic and social development. In the construction of teaching staff, according to the principle of paying equal attention to training and introduction, we should focus on training and introducing a number of excellent teaching teachers at or above the provincial level, establish excellent teaching teams, and form the mentoring role of young professional teachers. At the same time, through institutional arrangements, professional backbone teachers are regularly selected to work in enterprises to enhance their practical ability and improve the level of classroom teaching. At the end of 2009, after the construction of Hainan International Tourism Island became a national strategy, we appropriately adjusted the professional structure and vigorously developed modern service industry, international trade industry, storage and transportation service industry, finance and insurance industry, commercial catering industry and modern logistics industry, modern agriculture with tropical characteristics, emerging industries and high-tech industries, marine economy and other related professional groups. The second is to establish a global vision and strengthen international cooperation in running schools. In today's world, economic globalization, informationization and knowledge economy are developing very rapidly, and all countries and regions are facing the competition between talents and education, especially the competition between skilled talents and vocational education and training. Therefore, we should establish an international vision, follow international standards in personnel training, increase the participation of enterprises, and implement the training mode of combining work with study and school-enterprise cooperation. In terms of training objectives, we should realize the value transfer from international education to global education. With the deepening of economic globalization and the influx of a large number of multinational companies, vocational education graduates will inevitably face competition to participate in the international labor market. Therefore, vocational education should establish a global perspective, and cultivate students with not only certain professional skills, but also cross-cultural adaptability, international understanding and foreign language ability. In terms of education and teaching, it is necessary to formulate a talent training plan according to international standards, implement teaching reform, strengthen professional construction and train teachers. We should follow the relevant international standards in the quality of personnel training. Learn from the experience of international cooperation in running schools in developed countries, actively carry out various forms of international cooperation in running schools, establish a system of mutual visits of professional teachers, and realize the sharing of educational and teaching resources. In the cooperation between enterprises and schools, because enterprises will participate in international competition more widely, the process of technology development and transfer will be accelerated, which will inevitably lead to the emergence of new professional posts, and even the scientific and technological content of traditional professional posts will continue to change. From this point of view, the development of vocational education should be closely linked with enterprises, strengthen cooperation with local leading enterprises, supporting industrial enterprises and famous enterprises, promote the deep integration of schools and enterprises, and form a win-win situation of talent co-education and achievement sharing. In practice, in recent years, in international cooperation in running schools, it is mainly to introduce foreign high-quality educational resources and learn from foreign modern educational concepts, curriculum systems, teaching materials and teaching methods, so as to promote the construction of college professional connotation and improve the quality of personnel training. On the basis of continuously strengthening and consolidating cooperation with South Korea, Russia, Denmark and other countries, we will focus on establishing close international exchange and cooperation mechanisms with developed countries such as the United States, Britain and Germany, and strive to cultivate professionals needed for the construction of Hainan International Tourism Island and the development of emerging industries in accordance with international industry standards and professional requirements. At the same time, the author believes that with the deepening of the construction of an international tourist island, Hainan's related industries will inevitably upgrade, which also puts forward new requirements for the quality and connotation of Hainan's higher vocational education. Industry should be carried out in accordance with international standards, which is an inevitable requirement for Hainan's industrial development in the construction of an international tourist island. For Hainan's higher vocational education, whether the trained talents are qualified and can meet the needs of building an international tourist island depends on whether the quality of education and teaching can be comprehensively improved according to the post standards of modern enterprises.
