College of Ideological and Political Education
The College of Ideological and Political Education was established in June 2009, which is an important measure taken by the Party Committee of China Geo University (Beijing) to implement the spirit of Document No.6 of the Central Committee and Document No.5 of Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and Ministry of Education, and to strengthen the ideological and political work in the school. College is the centralized management department of ideological and political theory teaching, scientific research and discipline construction. The college has 18 faculty members, including 4 professors, 8 associate professors and 5 lecturers, among whom 10 has a doctorate. According to the needs of development and teaching, the college also hired a number of part-time teachers inside and outside the school, as well as doctoral and master's tutors. Dean of the College is Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Zou is Secretary of the General Party Branch of the College, David Shen, Vice President, and Feng Li, Director of the Office. The college consists of three rooms and two institutes, namely, three teaching and research sections on Marxist principles, China Marxism and moral education, and two research institutes on applied psychology and higher education. The predecessor of the college was 1952 1 1. When Beijing Institute of Geology was founded, the Political Department (Political Department Group) was established. 1953, the political department was formally established. Liu Pulun and Bai Zhiyun successively served as department directors, and Wang Zhongxiu served as party branch secretary. 1959 set up a philosophy teaching and research group. In the early period of the "Cultural Revolution", Hao Hui was the director of Zhuang Ren's teaching and research section, and later a core group was established, with Cao Wenman as the team leader. 1969, all political teachers were sent to work in the May 7th Cadre School of Renhe Commune in Xiajiang County, Jiangxi Province. 1970 Political teachers were transferred from May 7th Cadre School to the Political Section of the Propaganda Department of Hubei Institute of Geology. 1975 officially moved to Wuhan, 1978 Beijing graduate department of Wuhan Institute of Geology was formally established, with Wang Hengli as the teaching task of postgraduate political theory course. 1982, Beijing began to recruit undergraduates and resumed the political teaching and research section, with Wang Zixian as the director and Wang Hengli as the deputy director. 1992, the school established the Department of Social Sciences, with Xu Zhenxi as the dean and Wang Hengli as the deputy director. 1994 the department of humanities and economics was established, with a Marxist-Leninist teaching and research section, which is jointly responsible for the education and teaching of ideological and political theory courses with the moral education teaching and research section (under the Propaganda Department). 1998 the school of humanities and economics was established, and the teaching and research section of Marxist theory undertook the teaching of ideological and political theory courses in the school. Since 2002, we have enrolled more than 260 graduate students majoring in Marxist theory, pedagogy and applied psychology, among whom 194 have graduated and taken up corresponding jobs. 20 10 doctoral students majoring in ideological and political education began to enroll students, and there were 14 students. Since its establishment, the College of Ideological and Political Education has inherited and carried forward the fine tradition of the older generation of ideological and political theory teachers, and has made many outstanding achievements in discipline construction, scientific research, education and teaching, and personnel training. Marxism, pedagogy, applied psychology, philosophy of science and technology, scientific socialism, international communist movement and other two disciplines, a total of five master's programs in ideological and political education. The College has successively obtained 2 national social science fund projects, 2 provincial and ministerial projects such as Social Science Fund of Ministry of Education, Beijing Social Science Planning Project, major entrusted projects of Ministry of Education, Beijing Municipal Education Commission's ideological and political education project 15, and 3 central university projects 13. Published 28 monographs and teaching materials, and won the first, second and third prizes of academic achievements of provincial and ministerial associations 14. The four courses of undergraduate ideological and political theory have all completed the construction of school-level excellent courses, the quality of education has been significantly improved, and the level of postgraduate training has been continuously improved. At present, there are more than 80 graduate students.
