The research on educational robots abroad started earlier. In 1960s and 1970s, Japan, the United States, Britain and other western developed countries successively carried out robot education research in their own universities, and Britain and other western developed countries also carried out robot education research in their own universities. In the 1970s and 1980s, they also conducted simple robot teaching in primary and secondary schools. In the process, they also launched their own basic development platform for educational robots.

China's robot research began in the 1970s and 1980s, and there are related contents in China's Seventh Five-Year Plan and 863 Plan. However, robot teaching for primary and secondary schools started late, and it didn't get initial development until the middle and late 1990s, and it is still not perfect.
