Shang? Namely. Going? Shangshu is listed as one of the important core Confucian classics and the basic book of Confucian studies in past dynasties. This is the earliest compilation of historical documents in China. In the Warring States period, it was called Shu, and in the Han Dynasty, it was renamed Shangshu, that is, the book of ancient times. Everyone must know the Four Books and Five Classics, which are The Book of Songs, Shangshu, Yili, Jing Yue, Zhouyi and Chunqiu. Obviously, Shangshu is one of them. This book plays an important role in the cultural history of our country.

Shangshu is a compilation of works about ancient deeds, the earliest title of which was Book. It is divided into Yu Shu, Xia Shu, Shangshu and Zhou Shu. Because it is one of the five Confucian classics, it is also called the Book of Songs. The traditional Book of History, also known as the Book of History in bronze inscriptions, is said to be the heritage of the "Three Tombs and Five Classics" of ancient culture. But the most primitive history books have disappeared. What is it now? Shangshu? Including the bronze version of Shangshu and the pseudo-ancient version of Shangshu.

The original meaning of the word "Shangshu" refers to the compilation of ancient royal archives documents in China. "Shang" means "unfold and flatten the rolled, wrapped and folded things"; "Book" means words, written records and documents, and "Shangshu" means "Decrypting royal documents" and "royal archives". It is said that this book was compiled by Confucius. Confucius devoted himself to the collation of ancient books in his later years. After all sorts of arrangement and compilation, about 100 books were selected, and Shangshu is one of them. According to legend, Confucius used it as a teaching material to educate students. But the real historical basis has not been confirmed by the literature.

Third, the influence of later generations.

As a compilation of early political historical materials in China, Shangshu recorded many important historical facts of Yu, Xia, Shang and Zhou, and truly reflected astronomy, geography, philosophy, education, criminal law and regulations in this historical period, which is a precious historical material for us to understand ancient society.
