Continuing education in public subjects requires 60 hours (40 minutes per hour) and 20 credits; The study content includes the laws and regulations, professional knowledge and professional skills in the professional field that should be mastered in pharmaceutical service.

The measures for the administration of continuing education credits for licensed pharmacists are as follows:
Thirteenth continuing education of licensed pharmacists to implement the credit system. Licensed pharmacists participate in continuing education organized by Chinese Pharmacists Association or provincial (licensed) Pharmacists Association every year, with no less than 15 credits.
Fourteenth licensed pharmacists to participate in continuing education, after passing the examination, awarded 1 credit every 3 hours. Teaching institutions registered by the Chinese Pharmacists Association are responsible for awarding credits.
Fifteenth licensed pharmacists to participate in the continuing education organized by the Chinese Pharmacists Association or the provincial (licensed) pharmacists association to obtain credits, which are valid nationwide.
