Jiangxi Education (Xunkan) was founded on 1950, which is the work guidance publication of Jiangxi Education Committee and Provincial Education Department.

Jiangxi Education covers all levels of educational administrative departments and schools in the province, and it is one of the most influential publications in the province's education system. It was rated as the national Chinese core periodical and the first-class periodical in Jiangxi Province. In order to enhance the pertinence of serving readers, Jiangxi Education has been changed into a periodical since 2008, and a version (management version), a version (teaching and research version of primary school lessons) and a version (comprehensive version) are published every month. Facing the vast number of educational administrative cadres, school administrators and moral educators, it is authoritative and instructive.

Jiangxi education is included in the core journals of Peking University (1992 edition) and Peking University (1996 edition).
