According to Article 8 of the Teachers Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), teachers' professional obligations include the following contents: (1) Teachers should abide by the Constitution, laws and professional ethics, and be a model for others. (2) Teachers should implement the national education policy, abide by the rules and regulations, implement the school's teaching plan, fulfill the teacher employment contract, and complete the education and teaching tasks. According to the provisions of Article 3 of the Teachers Law, if a teacher intentionally fails to complete the task of education and teaching, thus causing losses to the education and teaching work, the unit to which he belongs or the administrative department of education has the right to give administrative sanctions or dismiss him. (3) Teachers should educate students on constitution, patriotism, national unity, legal system, ideology and morality, culture, science and technology, and organize and lead students to carry out beneficial social activities. (4) Teachers should care for all students, respect students' personality and promote students' all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique. (5) Teachers have the responsibility to stop acts harmful to students or other acts that infringe on their legitimate rights and interests, and to criticize and resist phenomena harmful to their healthy growth. (6) Teachers should constantly improve their ideological and political awareness and professional level of education and teaching. Participating in training and further study is both a teacher's right and an obligation.
