Jiyuan No.1 Middle School is a public high school, which was built in 1926. 1956, Mr. Guo Moruo personally named the school "Jiyuan No.1 Middle School in Henan Province". Jiyuan No.1 Middle School covers an area of 5 1.5 mu with a building area of 6,543,800 square meters. This is a modern new high school with more than 8,000 teachers and students.

The school has successively invested in the establishment of a closed-circuit television system, a microcomputer-based rice selling system and a campus network system. All classrooms are equipped with multimedia teaching systems, with first-class sports and art venues and swimming pools, 28 high-standard physics, chemistry and biology laboratories, 4 multi-functional conference halls and 5 computer classrooms. Jiyuan No.1 Middle School was formerly Jiyuan Normal School and Jiyuan Normal School. 1926, the Kuomintang regime established Jiyuan Normal Workshop, the highest educational institution in Jiyuan County, in the Confucian Temple. 1928 In August, Jiyuan Normal School was changed to Jiyuan Normal School. 1929 After August, it was moved from Confucian Temple to Jidu Temple. At the beginning of Jiyuan, Party members Ji Xin, Xue Zizhong and other * * * members established party organizations under the cover of normal schools, actively carried out revolutionary activities, cultivated and gathered a large number of progressive forces, and made important contributions to the China revolution. This school is also called "the cradle of the Red Revolution".
