The significance of this short film is that children's growth must be full of painful training. Only when children dare to step out of their comfort zone and face the unknown life bravely can they have the opportunity to become full-fledged and advance and retreat freely.
After all, growth is the child's own. As parents, we don't have to worry about children's temporary escape and retreat. Perhaps, at a casual moment, children will have their own adventures and grow and change in their own way.
Film creation background:
According to the director, he was inspired by a morning run by the seaside, hoping to show the meaning of family affection and overcome his inner fears with this short film. During the animation process, the director also drew inspiration from the paintings of American painter norman rockwell in the early 20th century.
After that, the creative team kept going to the seaside to find creative inspiration. They tried to capture underwater images, and later chose to take photos in Kauai to get more real creative materials.
