CET (National College English Test Band 4 and Band 6) is a large-scale standardized test sponsored by the Ministry of Education and implemented by the Education Examinations Institute of the Ministry of Education (formerly the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education). It is a national teaching test. Its purpose is to promote college English teaching in China, measure college students' English ability objectively and accurately, and provide services for improving the teaching quality of college English courses in China. CET started from 1987, and has gone through more than 30 years, which has had a positive impact on the development and reform of college English teaching in China.

The CET written test time is June and 65438+February every year; The CET oral test time is May and165438+1October each year. Candidates who sign up for the oral test must first sign up for the written test at the corresponding level.

CET also offers non-English test subjects, including: Japanese Band 4 (CJT4), Japanese Band 6 (CJT6), Russian Band 4 (CRT4), Russian Band 6 (CRT6), German Band 4 (CGT4), German Band 6 (CGT6) and French Band 4 (CFT4). The above examination subjects are given once a year in June, all of which are written, and there is no oral test.
