1927, the former Taipei Normal School was divided into "Taipei No.1 Normal School" (now the predecessor of Nanmen Campus of Taipei Municipal University of Education) and "Taipei No.2 Normal School" (now the predecessor of Lanfang Campus of National Taipei University of Education), and the second Taipei Normal School in Lanfang was established. All the Taiwan Province students from the former Taipei Normal School moved in (that is, the books of the elite students of Taiwan Province Normal School during the current regime were kept in the National Library).
1943 After the end of the Pacific War and the shortage of resources, the two universities merged into "Taipei Normal University", which was divided into "Nanmen Campus" (formerly the First Normal University) and "Lanfang Campus" (formerly the Second Normal University). Nanmen campus accepts preparatory courses and women's departments, and Lanfang campus accepts undergraduates. During the Japanese occupation period, all the students' books in the former "Mandarin School" and "Taipei Normal School" were moved to Lanfang Campus.
1945 changed its name to "Taiwan Province Provincial Taipei Normal School" (for boys only), which is short for "Provincial North Normal School" to distinguish it from "Taiwan Province Provincial Taipei Women's Normal School" (for girls only).
196 1 was transformed into "Taiwan Province Provincial Taipei Teachers College".
1987 upgraded to "Taiwan Province Provincial Taipei Teachers College".
199 1 Transfer to "National Taipei Teachers College".
In 2005, it was upgraded to National Taipei University of Education.
