2. According to the law, if the cumulative score of motor vehicle drivers reaches 12 in a scoring cycle, they should go to the traffic management department of the public security organ where the motor vehicle driver's license is issued or where the illegal act occurs to receive road traffic safety laws, regulations and related knowledge education for seven days. After the motor vehicle driver receives education, the vehicle management office shall take the subject one examination within twenty days.

3. If the motor vehicle driver reaches 12 for more than two times in a scoring cycle, the vehicle management office shall also pass the examination of this subject within ten days.

There are new rules for driver's license deduction:

1. The cumulative scoring cycle of road traffic safety violations (i.e. scoring cycle) is 12 months, with a full score of 12, which is counted from the date when the motor vehicle driver's license is obtained for the first time, and so on. The sorting time of driver's license is the date of issuance on the driver's license, and the system will automatically sort it on the date of issuance every year. Starting from the "first license date" of the driver's license, one year is a scoring cycle, and so on;

2. The scoring cycle for traffic violations is generally 12 months, and the total score is 12. 12 points, 6 points, 3 points, 2 points and 1 point can be deducted in turn according to the illegal circumstances, and 0.5 points can also be deducted in actual work;

3. The points deducted less in one year will be cleared automatically in the next cycle, and will be counted again from 12 points. Usually, drivers who have deducted 12 points in a period should participate in the learning activities organized by relevant departments. In some areas, drivers who have deducted more than 9 points in this period should also participate in the learning. If the illegal circumstances are particularly serious, the driver's license is often temporarily suspended or revoked;

4. Drivers who get 12 to 24 (excluding) for the first time can clear the traffic violation points only by passing the subject 1 exam. Drivers who scored 12 for more than two times or accumulated more than 24 points in the same period shall be put on record and cleared by the traffic control department after each examination in subject 1 and subject 3. Among them, the date from the driver's first license to the day before the following year is a traffic violation scoring cycle. For example, the driver's first license date is 20 1 1 April, in which the traffic violation scoring period is 2011April1to 20 12.

5. If you have scored 12, you need to go to the vehicle management office where the driver's license is issued or the vehicle management office where the illegal act occurred to take part in the study and pass the subject 1 exam (after getting 12 twice in a scoring cycle, you can clear the score). Otherwise, your driver's license will not work properly.

To sum up, drivers do not drive according to the regulations when driving on the road, which leads to corresponding traffic violations and will lead to driver's license deduction.

Article 3 of the Provisions on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving License

The vehicle management office shall follow the principles of legality, openness, fairness and convenience in handling motor vehicle driving license business.

When handling the motor vehicle driving license business, the vehicle management office shall accept the application of the applicant according to law and examine the materials submitted by the applicant. Those who meet the requirements shall apply for a motor vehicle driver's license in accordance with the prescribed standards, procedures and time limit. If the application materials are incomplete or do not conform to the statutory form, the applicant shall be informed of all the contents that need to be corrected in writing or electronically. Do not meet the requirements, inform in writing or electronically.

The vehicle management office shall publicize the application items, conditions, basis, procedures, time limit, charging standards, all the materials to be submitted and the model text of the application form in the office.

The traffic administrative department of the public security organ at the provincial level, the city divided into districts or the same level shall publish information on the Internet to facilitate the masses to consult the relevant provisions on handling motor vehicle driving licenses, inquire about the use of driving licenses, traffic violations and scoring, and download and use relevant forms.
