Linyi Vocational College of Science and Technology is the predecessor of a school, Linyi Agricultural Technology School. Founded on 1953 and moved to the new campus on October 8, 2020, it was formally established with the approval of Shandong Provincial People's Government in March 2020. It is an institution of higher learning organized by Linyi Municipal People's Government.

The school is located atNo. 1, Macau Road, Hedong District, Linyi City, covering an area of 350,600 square meters (about 526 mu). At present, there are 5229 full-time students and 257 on-the-job faculty members, including 23 full-time teachers. School facilities cover agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, biochemistry and medicine.

There are seven secondary colleges, including resources and environment, electronic information, medicine and health, textile and food, architectural planning and design, and two teaching departments, namely public teaching department and training center.

Biotechnology Application Center is a comprehensive experimental base integrating teaching, scientific research and social services.

Pet clinic is an advanced comprehensive animal clinic in southern Shandong. The "Facility Agricultural Production Technology Training Base" jointly established by the facility agricultural production technology specialty and Shandong Shouguang Vegetable and Flower Industry Group is the first "Spark School of National Spark Program for Farmers' Science and Technology Training" in Linyi City. The goal of the school is to become a well-known national backbone higher vocational college in Jiangbei.
