How to solve the case of lying behavior of children in kindergarten teachers
Case: A child named Xiang Zhengnan got a green card when he entered the park in the morning because his fingernails were too long to be cut, but when he entered the activity room, he secretly exchanged this green card with another child's red card, thinking that no one would know that he had got this green card. But when I asked the health care teacher who did the morning check-up, Xiang Zhengnan was the one who got the green card, and asked again in front of the whole class whether Xiang Zhengnan got the red card or the green card, he still insisted that he got the red card. I was disappointed. I was very angry at that time, because the lying child has always been a good boy trusted by our two teachers. He often helps us to distribute tableware and tidy up the activity room, which is very good, so he is not only a good boy in the teacher's mind, but unconsciously, the whole class also regards him as an example. When I realized that Xiang Zhengnan could not admit that he had got a green card in front of the whole class, I adjusted and changed the way of handling it in time. The next day, I communicated with Xiang Zhengnan alone. I sincerely apologized to him and said that I shouldn't show my distrust of him in front of the whole class. Unexpectedly, he asked me to forgive him for lying yesterday and promised not to lie again. I didn't expect things to be solved satisfactorily in another way.

Case study:

Why don't you want to admit that you got a green card on the first day of Xiangzhengnan? Because on the first day, I asked him in front of the whole class, because everyone knew that the child who got the green card was not a good boy. If he admits it, he will say that he is no longer a good boy. Although children are very young, they have learned to do such simple logical reasoning. Xiang Zhengnan didn't want the beautiful image of his good boy to be questioned by the whole class, so he didn't admit to getting a green card even if he blushed several times on the first day.

Case reflection:

This lying story made me feel very sad at first. I have always felt that how can a good boy who has a good image in the eyes of teachers and children lie? Is this a moral problem for children? But when I calmed down, I found that I was dealing with it in two inappropriate places.

First, there is a mistake in the understanding of "good boy"

What kind of children are good children? This is a question worth pondering. It is the children who listen to the teacher.

Is this child a good boy? Perhaps it is because the kindergarten teachers have to deal with complicated things, and it is better for the children in their own class to be obedient, so that the teachers will be more smooth and worry-free in education and teaching activities. Usually, teachers also prefer obedient children, and may think that obedient children are one of the good children. Zheng Nan asked me when I knew the truth that day, but he still refused to admit it. At that time, I took it for granted that he had been disobedient, so I once doubted whether he was a good boy. Now that I think about it, my understanding of the concept of "good boy" is wrong In fact, every child is a good boy. In every young mind, there is a pursuit, that is, to be a good boy in everyone's eyes, including a teacher. This pursuit is so pure compared with our complex and sophisticated adult pursuit. If adults in our real society have more such childlike pursuits, will there be so much suffering in this society? No wonder Jesus, the Lord of Christianity, taught his disciples that "you should learn from children". Yes, every child, including Zhengnan, is a good boy.

Second, there are mistakes in handling things.

When I didn't know who got the green card, I went to check every little hand spread out on the table one by one.

At that time, I was so annoyed that I didn't even think about how every child felt. Yes, every child is equal to us and has self-esteem, but I regard every one of them as a suspect. How angry we would be if the roles were reversed and if we were suspected. But in the face of us, children are weak. They may be confused, but they won't and dare not speak out, because they don't know that young children also have inviolable human rights. When I asked again after I knew the truth, Zhengnan insisted that he only took the red card to protect his self-esteem, and he didn't want to lose his good image in the eyes of the public. But my constant questioning made his face red and his eyes didn't dare to look at me. I thought how nervous he would be, because he was a child. Now I think I pushed the child too hard.

It has been several days, and my children and I are as close as before. And Zheng Nan is still actively helping our two teachers as always. Seeing Zhang Tian's lovely smiling face, I said to myself that you are all good children.
