Since then, the invention of the film has greatly promoted the development of the visual teaching movement. During the ten years from 19 18 to 1928, this visual teaching movement marked the beginning of educational technology. Before the emergence of pure visual education media, the recording technology of movies or broadcasts gradually appeared, and the initial concept of visual teaching gradually expanded to the audio-visual teaching stage. And it was originally in England (see P8 for details).
19 18~ 1942 is the primary stage of educational technology development. There are four reasons to promote the development of audio-visual teaching at this time:
1. The training departments of the industry and the army have made a large-scale talent training plan (new method).
2. Industrial and military training emphasizes the cultivation of performance ability, with clear purpose and strong maneuverability; It also emphasizes the job responsibilities (objectives and operations) of the trainer.
3. The federal government of the United States has formulated a series of policies to implement teaching technology, encouraging the production of various teaching materials and widely used media (policy support).
4. The United States federal government allocated huge funds (financial support) for the implementation of teaching technology.
