What is human education for?
There are many public educational institutions, such as rural schools, temples and private schools. Rural schools are schools for the children of the lower samurai or civilians. It is relatively simple, focusing on ideological and moral education, and cultivating tame hardworking and obedient people. In the late feudal society, the temple was a secular primary education institution for the children of ordinary people, learning simple knowledge of reading, writing and calculating.
