Reflections on Reading Wisdom and Truth of Education
The preface of the book "Wisdom and Truth in Education" is entitled "Write Three Books in One's Life", which is a set of three volumes of educational essays: Ideal and Faith in Education, Wisdom and Truth in Educational Art and Interest in Education. In fact, Mr. Ogawa later wrote The Mission and Responsibility of Education, which formed a four-volume series. The book "Wisdom and Truth of Education" is the second volume, and it still touches me a lot. Reading such books always gives me a pleasure, and reading Ogawa's prose always gives me a sense of intimacy.

This book about the wisdom and true feelings of education has no dogmatic preaching in previous education books, just like a friend sitting opposite me telling me his understanding and true feelings about education, which not only immersed me in meditation on educational theory, but also made me suddenly enlightened by his unique educational understanding; As a tutor, he pointed out the direction of education for me, and as a bosom friend, he poured out his feelings about education to me, which constantly aroused my love and pursuit of education. I have a deeper understanding of our education in the vividness of theory and practice, which makes me have a deeper understanding of education.

I really want to finish reading this book, and I want to slowly review a series of exquisite and meticulous beautiful articles. The more I read it, the more I love it. After reading it, I feel that I have entered a wisdom oxygen bar, which makes people feel relaxed, my soul has been sincerely baptized, my thoughts have been simply sublimated, and my horizons have been broadened to the extreme. With beautiful words and extensive knowledge, my desire to read and write has been greatly stimulated. I think not everyone has this kind of thinking ability, but through the thinking of the wise, we can better understand education.

In China's education circle, Ogawa's beautiful writing style is almost a household name. He changed the reading habits of hundreds of thousands of front-line teachers in China by himself (in the words of Liu Tiefang). What is his charm? Liu Tiefang believes that Ogawa's educational prose has made a refreshing breakthrough in the traditional educational editorial discourse mode, broadened the horizons of pedagogy and actively responded to social problems and times problems. Most importantly, Ogawa has a heartfelt love for educational life, teachers and individuals in education. Let's look at two topics in the book.

1. Who decides the direction of education?

The first article of this book is about "the direction and method of education". Xiao Chuan said, "The direction of education is not determined by government documents, nor by curriculum standards, nor by textbooks and students, but by teachers." This sentence shocked me, and I couldn't help thinking: Is the teacher really that capable? Is it okay? It immediately occurred to me that under the guidance of the baton of exams for so many years, our teachers tried their best to squeeze, rush and fight where the baton pointed, and tried their best to get the highest score for the students. As teachers, isn't our ultimate educational goal to cultivate high flyers? However, it is too unique to be measured by scores. An excellent student has not only knowledge, but also personality and, more importantly, morality. Therefore, Professor Xiao Chuan said: As teachers, we are educators first, and then teachers of a course. "It is precisely because of this view that he dares to assert that teachers decide the direction of education. But don't our teachers know that moral education comes first? But why can't you let go of the score? I am most concerned about the results of the courses I teach myself. I may think that the head teacher is mainly responsible for the education of students (of course, there are exceptions). With this idea, he can not only clearly share the responsibility of education, but also show off his capital to others, even for higher scholarships. In the evaluation, in the annual assessment, and in the promotion materials of professional titles, we often use "the results of our classes are among the best in the same grade" to prove our performance. Have we rated ourselves as the main achievement because we can cultivate students' independence, creativity, positivity, optimism, honesty, intelligence, friendliness, tolerance and active participation in social cooperation? We always doubt our own strength and sigh that we can't help ourselves. In fact, we can do what we want. If we open our eyes, we will go in the right direction.

Second, who will liberate teachers?

When people from all walks of life call for reducing students' heavy academic burden, who calls for reducing the burden on teachers who are overburdened and overworked?

Professor Xiao analyzed the reasons for the heavy burden on teachers in the section "Liberation of Teachers", including the following points: 1, the staffing of teachers is too tight, 2, the expectations of society for education are too high, 3, some functional departments often tell schools what to do, and all kinds of reception, inspection and evaluation are overwhelmed, which simply makes schools a place for abuse of power. 4. The interpersonal relationship in school is not simple enough. Some systems and measures of "supporting small photos and attacking big photos" have caused vicious competition among teachers, produced undue internal friction, consumed teachers' energy and poisoned interpersonal relationships. 5. Teachers' educational concept is outdated and backward, demanding too much from students, taking care of too much, and lacking the mood of waiting. 6. School life lacks challenges and vitality. 7. Teachers' educational literacy and ability are not ideal and need to be improved.

I feel the same way after reading it. Professor Xiao just listed a few representative views. Perhaps there are many other reasons why primary and secondary school teachers are overburdened. I admire Professor Xiao's brave words, and I can also express the unspeakable depression that teachers have been holding in their hearts for a long time, which gives us a pleasure after talking. For various reasons, when we can't change this social reality, we can only change ourselves. The article still puts it well: the world is actually ourselves. When we look at life with a bright, upright, high-spirited and optimistic attitude, we will live a bright, upright, high-spirited and optimistic life. This is the so-called "environment is born of mind".

How many of our teachers are weighed down by heavy teaching affairs, only work without personal life, young teachers are too busy to find friends, and middle-aged teachers have no time to take care of their families. Do we have to live in such a messy place?

To liberate teachers, we must first have self-awareness and strength. Facing all kinds of burdens, we should adjust our mentality. Faced with a lot of work, why not think of a "lazy" method and clever work? Why not let the cows eat grass under the tree when they can't pull it up? After a busy day, why not let the tired body and mind be relieved in music? Or forgotten in the sea of books? In the face of fierce competition, why not put fame and fortune aside? Pursuing a kind of dullness is the real realm? Do you have to fight for your head in front of fame and fortune? As the saying goes, when we cannot change society, we can only change ourselves. I hope Professor Xiao's words are very effective and can solve this urgent matter immediately. I also believe that the liberation of teachers is just around the corner.

There are many good words and sentences in this book. Share a few words I drew and feel the charm of Ogawa's prose:

1, the so-called democratic character, willing to share, good at communication, convinced of the truth, diligent in reflection, brave in taking responsibility and innovation.

2. An educated person is a solemn, tolerant, profound and simple person; Persistent and chic, sincere and sophisticated; He (she) is diligent and calm, resolute and gentle; Bold and elegant, simple and unpretentious, constantly pursuing a higher realm of life.

3. Because people can only achieve by people and the soul can only be inspired by the soul, teachers will be an eternal career.
