Beijing Foreign Studies University, referred to as "North Second Foreign University", is a national key university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Tourism Administration and the Beijing Municipal Government. It is one of the first universities in China to award bachelor's and master's degrees, one of the most famous foreign language universities in China and the highest tourism institution in China. It was personally created by Premier Zhou Enlai at 1964.
Bell 20 13 successfully joined CIUTI, ranking among the top language universities in the world and one of only four member universities in China. Since its establishment, the school has become an important base for training high-level talents in foreign language and foreign affairs, foreign trade and economic cooperation and tourism management. It is known as "the cradle of diplomats" and "the harbor for tourists".
By July of 20 15, there were 26 teaching units, offering 3 1 undergraduate majors, establishing more than 50 research institutes (centers), and establishing friendly cooperative relations with more than 40 universities in other countries 10000, with more than10000 graduate students and undergraduates.
