Xi Jiaotong-Liverpool University is a westernized university in China. Founded by Xi Jiaotong University and the University of Liverpool, UK, it is a new international university with distinctive features. It is the only Chinese-foreign cooperative university in China that has been approved by the Ministry of Education to recruit this batch of students.

The school has a brand-new educational concept with educating people as the core, an international teaching staff (the teaching staff ranks 1 1 in the ranking of NetBigUniversity of China Net University in 2008), an international education quality monitoring system, a student work system with guidance and service as the core, and an on-campus (off-campus) tutorial system to guide students to grow up healthily. In terms of teaching, in addition to the basic courses of culture and mathematics in China, English is adopted in the school.

Another university is the United International College of Beijing Normal University and Hong Kong Baptist University (UIC), which is located in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. It is a higher education institution jointly established by Beijing Normal University and Hong Kong Baptist University, and the first university jointly established by the mainland and Hong Kong higher education circles. The school adopts all-English education, holistic education, four-dimensional education, national conditions and Chinese studies education, tutor care plan, all-round student counseling, and is relatively westernized.
