6. Course features; Flower-and-bird painting teaching is one of the professional courses of Chinese painting department, and it is an important means to educate students on national art aesthetics. In teaching, we should take traditional national flower-and-bird painting and aesthetic consciousness with regional characteristics as the starting point to cultivate students to learn step by step in two series of courses: professional foundation and creation. And inspire and cultivate students' artistic accomplishment in all aspects, so that the teaching of flower-and-bird painting in Chinese painting department is full of times and life flavor.

Through four years of study at different levels, we can master the development history of flower-and-bird painting, understand the basic skills of meticulous brushwork, intentional brushwork, sketch and creation, and master the modeling law of flower-and-bird painting and the aesthetic law of pen-and-ink structure. And the observation of flowers and birds in nature is formed, the accumulation of feelings reaches the sublimation of art, and the artistic language of flower-and-bird painting is creatively used to express life feelings.
