Gansu Communications Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general higher communications vocational college approved by the provincial government and filed by the Ministry of Education.

The predecessor of the college is Gansu Jiaotong School. In April 2003, with the approval of the provincial government, the former Gansu Communications School and Gansu Communications Cadre School merged to form Gansu Communications Vocational and Technical College.

As of June 20 14 and 10, the college covers an area of 258 mu, with a building area of120,000 square meters and fixed assets of 220 million yuan. The library has a collection of 540,000 books. There are 7 teaching units and 28 majors. There are 246 on-the-job teaching staff, of which "double-qualified" teachers account for 62.3%, senior titles account for 30%, and more than 3,600 full-time students are registered.
