A short story of encouraging education: Rosenthal's experiment

Rosenthal, a professor of psychology from Harvard University, did a classic experiment on educational effect: he divided a group of mice into two groups, and Group A gave it to an experimenter, telling him that these mice belong to a very smart class and should be carefully trained; Group B handed it to another experimenter and told him that it was a very common type of intelligence. Two experimenters trained the two groups of mice respectively. After a while, they tested the mouse. The test method is to let the mouse pass through the maze. For mice, there is food when they go out. But in the process of going out, you must often hit a wall. Only smart mice with certain memory and intelligence can go out first. The experimental results show that group A mice are much smarter than group B mice, and they all go out soon.

According to this experimental result, Professor Rosenthal pointed out that he randomly divided two groups of mice, and he had no idea which mouse was smarter. He just gave one group to the clever experimenter A and the other group to the ordinary experimenter B.

Because the experimenter has confirmed that group A is a smart mouse, they train with the method of treating smart mice. As a result, these lucky mice really became smart mice. On the contrary, the mice in group B were treated with the training method of treating the unintelligent mice, and the mice really became unintelligent.

Don't underestimate yourself easily, and don't judge others casually.

How to look at yourself and others, how to look at yourself and others, the effect is completely different. Different educational methods will also create different people and lives.

Some people feel that they are nothing like others because of some small setbacks, and may be born smarter than others.

If this person really loses self-confidence, of course, he loses the chance of success. Therefore, we should regard ourselves as smart "mice" to cultivate and exercise ourselves, and believe in our own advantages and specialties.

Some parents don't know how to educate their children, and often say to their children, "You will definitely accomplish nothing in the future!" " Some children may still believe in themselves, but most children may treat themselves in a self-destructive way because they think they are not smart "mice". As an authority, parents or teachers should always say to their children, "You are great! I am proud of you! " Don't take those setbacks to heart, those great men have suffered setbacks. However, if you can go further and correct these shortcomings, you will be the best child in the world.
