Linfen Education Bureau is the working department of Linfen Municipal People's Government, which consists of 8 internal institutions, supervision offices and 6 directly affiliated institutions.
Main job responsibilities:
1. Formulate strategies, policies and plans for the city's education reform and development, organize the implementation of education laws, regulations, principles and policies, draft educational normative documents and supervise their implementation; Organize and carry out educational administrative law enforcement.

Responsible for promoting the balanced development of compulsory education and promoting educational equity; Responsible for the macro guidance and coordination of compulsory education; To guide ordinary senior high school education, preschool education and special education; Formulate basic requirements and teaching documents for basic education, plan the construction of textbooks for primary and secondary schools in the city, organize the compilation of local textbooks, and fully implement quality education.
4, guide the counties (cities, districts) education administrative departments and education personnel system reform; Supervise the schools and institutions under the administration, and recommend, inspect, examine, appoint and remove their leading cadres; Recommend and manage the city's senior high school leading cadres.
5, to guide the city's education supervision work, responsible for organizing the implementation of the supervision and inspection of secondary and secondary education and evaluation and acceptance; To guide the monitoring of the development level and quality of basic education.
6. Guide the reform and development of employment-oriented secondary vocational education; Responsible for the management of the city's secondary specialized schools; Review the establishment, renaming, cancellation and adjustment of secondary specialized schools.
7, responsible for the overall management of the department's education funds, participate in the formulation of education funds, education funding, education infrastructure investment policies; Responsible for the statistics of the city's education funds, and supervise the collection and use of the city's education funds; Responsible for the management of education assistance and education loans at home and abroad in our city.
8, to guide the ideological and political work, moral education, sports health art education and national defense education of schools at all levels in the city; Party building work in schools affiliated to the Guidance Bureau; To guide off-campus education in primary and secondary schools; Responsible for the safety and stability of the city's education system.
9, in charge of the city's teachers' work, organize the implementation of teacher qualification system, and guide the construction of talent team in the education system.
10, formulate relevant policies for school entrance examinations at all levels in the city, and guide and manage the education entrance examinations; Responsible for guiding the employment and entrepreneurship of college graduates in the city.
1 1, responsible for implementing the principles and policies of the national language and writing work, organizing, coordinating, supervising and inspecting the standardization of the national language and writing, and guiding the promotion of Putonghua and the training of Putonghua teachers.
12, to guide the city's adult education, in conjunction with relevant departments to guide staff education, job training and farmers' practical technical training.
13, overall planning, guidance and management of higher vocational education and continuing education in the city.
