In June 2000, with the approval of Yunnan Provincial Department of Education, Yunnan Southern Youth College and Yunnan Normal University jointly organized Yunnan Normal University Business School. At the same time, the Provincial Department of Education clearly instructed that in order to ensure the high-quality resources of business schools, Yunnan Southern Youth College was required to gradually reduce the scale of running schools. As a result, Yunnan Southern Youth College stopped enrolling students in secondary schools in 2003 and went all out to organize the business school of Yunnan Normal University.

In 2008, Yunnan Southern Youth College of Further Education and Yunnan Normal University Business School jointly held "Yunnan Normal University Business School Continuing Education College".

In order to adapt to the development of vocational education, in 20 1 1 year, under the leadership of Yunnan China Vocational Education Association, Yunnan Southern Youth College took the lead in establishing the project company Yunnan Peihua Education Investment Group Co., Ltd. on behalf of Yunnan China Vocational Education Association, and with Jing Lan as the chairman of the college, China Vocational College of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics was jointly established.

Yunnan Southern Youth College is a provincial-level key private middle school approved by Yunnan Provincial Department of Education 1996, which has been included in the national unified enrollment plan and has the qualification to independently issue nationally recognized diplomas.
