Community Correction: Good afternoon, everyone!

According to the work requirements of the Measures for the Implementation of Community Correction, there are two main purposes for convening everyone today. One is to participate in centralized education and study organized by the judicial office, and the other is to participate in public welfare work in the region. This activity is mainly to improve people's ideological awareness and legal quality, improve people's understanding of community correction, and correct people's psychological attitude towards community correction. Let everyone get rid of the old criminal thinking and behavior, establish new moral quality and law-abiding consciousness, develop new behavior habits that conform to social norms, and become people who abide by the law and social morality.

"People can be transformed" is the basic idea of China's penalty execution system. Education correction is an important task of community correction. On the basis of adhering to legal, strict, scientific and civilized management, it is an important way to correct community corrections personnel according to different types of crimes and different situations and implement personalized education correction. On the basis of summarizing the pilot experience in various places, Articles 15, 16, 17 and 21 of the new Measures for the Implementation of Community Correction stipulate the purpose, content, method and evaluation of educational correction.

Article 15 stipulates education and learning, mainly the ideological education of community corrections personnel. Including: first, public moral education, that is, educating community corrections personnel on outlook on life, values, social morality, professional ethics, family virtues, personal morality and so on. , so that they can establish correct values and improve their moral quality. The second is legal knowledge education, which helps community corrections personnel to learn the law, use and abide by the law, enhance their legal concept and sense of repentance, and consciously accept reform. Third, current affairs policy education, combining with the important decision-making arrangements of the party and the state and major events in social life, helps community corrections personnel to understand the social situation, understand national policies and seek self-development reasonably. Community corrections personnel should attend at least eight hours of education and study every month to ensure the learning effect.

Article 16 stipulates community service, requiring community corrections personnel who have the ability to work to participate in community service. It needs to be emphasized that organizing qualified community corrections personnel to participate in community service is not for punishment, but for cultivating their correct concept of labor, collective consciousness and discipline, strengthening their sense of social responsibility, repairing social relations and further gaining social understanding and acceptance. It is necessary to ensure that community corrections personnel participate in community service for not less than eight hours every month, and at the same time pay attention to the operability of community service, comprehensively consider the age, gender, health status, skill level and normal work and study needs of community corrections personnel, and rationally arrange the service content and methods.

The vast majority of community correction workers in our district can actively reform, report on time and conscientiously implement the leave system, which is worthy of encouragement and praise. However, it does not rule out that some individuals do not obey the supervision, the daily report is unconscious, they do not take time off when going out, and they do not take GPS mobile phones when going out. In view of this kind of person who unconsciously abides by the community correction regulations, our judicial office has reported to the superior and decided to give him a warning. I hope everyone will give him a warning.

As the ancients said, a slip of the foot makes a lasting regret. What I want to say to you is that "one short step will make a lasting regret, and the spring will be full at night." The illegal and criminal acts of prisoners have done harm to the safety of life and property of society and others, and have been punished by law, which has also brought serious physical and mental trauma and even psychological obstacles to their families. However, the party and government, all walks of life and family members have not abandoned you and still have high hopes for your future. I hope you will get lost. Our judicial administrative department holds an inclusive and open mind to you, and does not discriminate or treat you differently, and still cares for your future. So, I hope you will always be grateful and cherish relying on yourself. First, we should have a correct understanding of ourselves, put ourselves in a correct position, plead guilty and abide by the law, repent thoroughly, turn evil into good, bid farewell to yesterday, grasp today seriously and look forward to tomorrow with dignity. Second, we should transform ourselves through public welfare labor, wash the dirty soul of the past with sweat, and take the road of reducing work as the only choice. Third, we should regard the prison term as a semester, study hard on culture and law, constantly improve our awareness of learning law and enhance our ability of self-protection. Fourth, we should dig deep into the root causes of illegal crimes and rebuild our confidence in life. Every community prisoner should seriously transform his sense of honesty, shame and inspiration, and cultivate himself into a new person.

You should become law-abiding citizens to adapt to the development of a harmonious society. One is to strengthen three kinds of consciousness. That is, strengthen the consciousness of correcting prison sentences and actively accept the supervision and management of community correction and educational correction; It is necessary to strengthen the sense of responsibility, be responsible for yourself, the family and the society; We should strengthen our awareness of learning, learn politics, law, literature and technology, constantly enhance our comprehensive quality, and lay a solid foundation for our future foothold and development. The second is to grasp the correct direction of education reform. We should take the opportunity of pleading guilty and serving the law as an opportunity to get rid of the old self, start from obeying the rules and discipline, rebuild the new self with the term of imprisonment as the focus, improve ourselves with the focus on learning advanced models, return to society with the guarantee of mastering a skill, and thoroughly remould ourselves as soon as possible with self-transformation as the fundamental point.
