The School of Primary Education of Capital Normal University is a discipline-oriented secondary college of Capital Normal University, and it is the only college in Beijing that trains primary school teachers with undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. It is an institution of higher learning established by the Beijing Municipal Government. It was carefully decided by the prestigious former head teacher of Beijing Third Division and merged into Capital Normal University.

On February 20 13, the School of Primary Education of Capital Normal University officially moved to the East Campus of Capital Normal University, located at No.23, Baiduizijia, Fucheng Road, Haidian District, Beijing.

general situation

The major of primary education includes Chinese, mathematics, English, information technology, music, fine arts and science education. At the same time, it recruits graduate students in the direction of "primary education" in curriculum and teaching theory, and trains Beijing educators who are all-round developed morally, intellectually and physically, have expertise in learning, have modern educational concepts and are engaged in primary education, teaching and research.

On September 9th, 1999, the School of Primary Education of Capital Normal University was formally established. Previously, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and the First Normal University invested a lot of money to build and rebuild the teaching facilities of the School of Primary Education. The School of Primary Education affiliated to the First Normal University has 6 computer rooms, equipped with more than 280 computers, 3 multimedia classrooms, 3 language laboratories, 2 audio-visual rooms and 2 microcomputer classrooms.

There are also more advanced psychological observation rooms and psychological laboratories. At present, the college is preparing to move to the newly-built East Campus of Capital Normal University. The college has a team of teachers with reasonable age structure, solid professional foundation, rich teaching experience and considerable research on primary education. Among them, 74 are full-time and part-time teachers with senior titles, accounting for more than 50% of the total number of teachers.
