As a teacher and parent, I especially support the decision of the education department to stop online teaching, because online teaching not only has no great learning effect, but also has great disadvantages.
First, whether it is video recording or direct teaching, it is basically of little use. Students not only have no textbooks, but also can't settle down to study in a family environment. Many schools require parental supervision, but parents also have their own things! Some families have two children. They are just too busy.
Second: video teaching is absolutely unfair to children in some poor villages. Some left-behind children have been living with their grandparents. Not only do they have no smart phones, but they also have no internet. They have no conditions to realize online classes.
Third: In fact, the focus of many children is not on the knowledge points learned under the video lens. Because of the whole video class, the students' living environment under the video lens is presented to all the students. Some students with poor family environment are easily laughed at by other students, which has a great psychological impact on children.
Online courses are also a particularly big challenge for teachers. I have never been exposed to the environment of webcasting before, and now I am required to be an "anchor". Many functions need to be learned. There are 60 students in the study group of our class, and only more than 30 students can go online on time every day. So what about the remaining students after school starts?
In class, some teachers will ask questions at any time in order to keep students in class. When the voice is turned on, it simply collapses. At the other end of the voice, there are children crying, parents swearing, couples quarreling and so on. It really makes people laugh and cry.
