The movie "Children Walking Out of the Mountain" is

10 years ago, Zhejiang University provided counterpart support to Yunhe County and helped Meiyuan Middle School in Yunhe County to establish a hope class. In the Civil Engineering Department of Zhejiang University, I selected 10 poor students (30 students in three sessions) from each hope class to pair with them. Since 1997, more than ten teachers from the Civil Engineering Department of Zhejiang University have participated in this caring project. Whenever the school starts, these 30 poor students can always receive the tuition fees sent by Zhejiang University teachers in time, so that they can continue their studies. 20011Lishui Daily published an article I wrote, Children in the Mountains, which told this touching story and aroused strong repercussions in society.

This kind of love and support continued for many years, without interruption, until they were funded to complete their high school studies. As the leader of this matter, the author has visited Yunhe County for many times to have direct contact and talk with poor students, and witnessed their hardships in studying and their growing feelings for each other, so I have been in contact with them for ten years. Time flies. Five years passed quickly after the publication of the article Children in the Mountains. These children, who were only eleven or twelve years ago, have now grown into boys and girls in their early twenties. How are they now? Still worrying about tuition every year? Are they admitted to the university now? Did they walk out of the mountains and become a member of the city?

Poverty is sometimes the driving force! It makes the children in the mountains stubbornly "kill" a "bloody road"

There is a "Hope Address Book" on my desk, which records their situation in detail: among these 30 poor students, 17 were admitted to universities, accounting for about 60% of the total number. Among them, Wang and Chen Xianliang are currently studying at Hangzhou Dianzi University; Mei Fang studied at Zhejiang Gongshang University; He Xiaoli and Chen studied at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics; Mei studied at Ningbo University; Luo Jian studied in Hubei Institute of Education ... Among these students, two girls majoring in "junior college secretary" have now graduated-Zhang worked as a secretary in a company in Hangzhou and Ji worked as a secretary and treasurer in a large foreign-funded enterprise in Ningbo, and their work was satisfactory.

In addition to this 17 person, the poor students of Zhejiang University, Shang Lian and Lian, who were paired by teacher Zhang Youling, were also attracted by the Armed Police Force. Finally, they volunteered to join the army. Now one is in Kaifeng and the other is in Zhoushan. Shang sent me a photo of him in the army last year, hey! Wearing a military uniform and tie is quite powerful.

At that time, poor students practiced Lan Xiu, and starred in the TV series "Together under the Blue Sky" which reflected the Hope Project in the first grade, so they became famous in Yunhe County. After graduating from Longquan Teachers College, he was hired by Guangzhou Railway Bureau as the conductor of Guangzhou-Shenzhen luxury train. More than two years ago, she sent me a text message saying, "It's novel and exciting to suddenly come to the most fashionable metropolis in the south from the hinterland. I finally walked out of the mountain! Thanks to the original support of Zhejiang University teachers! "

Other 10 poor students who didn't go to college also found jobs in Lishui City or Yunhe County after graduating from high school: Qiu Yun became a nurse, Zhou Ling opened a mobile phone shop, and the only married one ran his own business with her husband. ...

I can write a story for each of them. It can be said that we gave our love in the clouds, and now we have achieved results, and it has become a reality for mountain children to "walk out of the mountains".

Here, I write some notes for these young people who went to college 17, telling the story of their struggle in college.

These young people struggled in adversity and developed a tenacious character under heavy pressure. Even when they entered the university, they didn't stop fighting. He Xiaoli, an economics major at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, is well aware of the severe employment situation at present, so she has been studying all the courses of accounting major since her sophomore year, and she expects to get a double degree when she graduates in the first half of this year. At the same time, she also took the national CPA qualification examination last year and has passed several courses. As you can imagine, a thin girl, at the same time to complete much more credits than others, how much perseverance, how much cost!

Mei Fang was admitted to Zhejiang Ocean University in 2004, majoring in computer science. Both freshmen and sophomores got good grades, but she was not satisfied and insisted on transferring to a famous university in Hangzhou. So, after two years of study, according to the "2+2" policy of the Provincial Department of Education, I took the relevant exams and transferred to the finance major of Zhejiang Gongshang University on my own, continuing to study the junior and senior courses. Recently, she reported to Hangzhou and came to Zhejiang University to see me. She said, "Struggle" feels good.

Then there is poor student Chen Qiaoqin, who is very talented in English. Since middle school, she has written to me in English every time for seven or eight years, and I have accumulated a thick stack of letters written by her in English. A few years ago, she passed the English major of Ningbo Institute of Technology, and still insists on writing letters in English. Last year. Chen Qiaoqin sent a photo of her and her foreign teacher, in which they smiled brightly.

I feel that these young people in the ravine really want to fly out of the ravine and fly to the world now!

Their hardships in learning and indomitable spirit of struggle in adversity deeply shocked me.

However, the high college tuition fees are still a "roadblock" for these poor college students.

As we all know, there are three batches of undergraduate students admitted to the college entrance examination every year, and the annual tuition fees of these three batches of undergraduate students range from 6000 yuan to 18000 yuan, which is quite different. Among the poor students I know, there are only a few college students who have been admitted to the "three books". Therefore, they have to face a huge tuition fee of nearly 20 thousand yuan every year. At the beginning, they had hoped for the national student loan policy, but in fact, each student can only borrow 6 thousand yuan a year. Therefore, these poor students who have been funded by Project Hope since junior high school are simply worried about the huge college tuition! They want to back down, but they are not willing to let their hard-won college dreams be shattered!

One of my twin students, named Mei, lived very frugally in junior high school. The head teacher said that her pocket money is only twenty or thirty yuan a year. She passed the English undergraduate course of Ningbo University the year before last, which belongs to "three books", and the annual tuition fee needs 18000 yuan, which is an astronomical figure for her family. May showed me her report card when she came to Hangzhou this year. All her grades are above 85, including "English Interpretation" 9 1. But her father was seriously injured when he went up the mountain to cut wood to earn her tuition, so he could not work to earn money.

I have never understood how she managed the college tuition for the first two years under such poor family conditions. Have you settled the tuition for junior year?

Mei didn't answer my previous question in the text message, but answered my second question like this: "I borrowed 6,000 yuan from school, 3,000 yuan from Yunhe and my relatives and friends in the countryside, and worked hard with my sister (who is a painter) to earn 2,000 yuan in the summer vacation. My mother picks sand on the construction site every day, earning 30 yuan a day 1000, and 60 thousand.

Ah! This Mei Lihong! In the text message, she seems to be reporting a running account, which is plain and faint. But my heart is rolling, and the more I look at it, the more sad it is. Later, I remitted some money to her, but I still couldn't make up all the tuition fees.

This is the group of college students I know. Their hard work and indomitable spirit in adversity are actually an education and shock to me.

Getting rid of poverty and becoming a useful material for the country is the pursuit and ideal of Yunhe Mountain children.

After more than ten years of hard work and struggle in poverty and adversity, these clouds and young people really began to walk out of the mountains!

Among the 17 college students I know, Lan Hengxiang and Ye Hongmei both took up their jobs after studying advanced nursing in relevant medical colleges in Hangzhou and Ningbo.

Last year, I had a party with my colleague, Teacher Jianguo, and Zhang, who has been working in Hangzhou, in the beautiful Hangzhou Garden. This beautiful girl in jeans and high heels has completely lost the "simplicity" of children in the mountains.

At that time, I remembered that nine years ago, I first came to Yunhe Meiyuan Middle School with Jianguo's teacher and took a group photo with 10 students in the first hope class. So I asked her if she still remembered the photo taken nine years ago. She said, how could I forget? Soon, Zhang visited me at my home. I took out my photo, pointed to the little girl in the middle of the front row and asked her, "Is this you?" So, everyone laughed. Zhang said: "At that time, I had never even been to Yunhe County. Now I travel around with the company leaders and walk out of the mountains. My whole life is really different! "

No pains, no gains. He Xiaoli of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics will graduate from college in half a year. Now, in addition to writing her graduation thesis, she is also busy implementing her work unit. Because she is diligent and studious, she has a greater advantage than other graduates in recruitment. Some well-known enterprises, such as Wahaha, welcome her to practice first, and Xizi Group even said that she can sign an employment contract after the internship. A few years ago, Tongxiang State Taxation Bureau, a civil servant position that attracted her more, called and said that she had passed the written test and asked her to go for an interview before the Spring Festival. He Xiaoli is only one step away from her ideal goal in life! Let's wish her luck!

They are eager for strength and realize one life ideal after another in poverty.

Now, there is Lishui Daily six years ago in front of me, rereading Children in the Mountains, and the familiar names of poor students come back to my mind.

It's probably the summer of 1999. Ma Xiaoling, the monitor of the second Hope Class, graduated from Meiyuan Middle School with our financial support. However, faced with the tuition and fees (about 1300 yuan/semester) that doubled after entering high school, her parents really couldn't afford it and wanted her to go home and farm. The first year of high school is just around the corner, and her tuition is still confiscated. One day at the end of August, I suddenly received a letter from her asking for help: "Dear uncle, can you help me for the last time and let me go to Yunhe Middle School to continue my high school?" How much I want to study ... "One day later, I brought her letter of help to my colleague, Mr. Xu Jinjun from the Civil Engineering Department of Zhejiang University. At that time, Mr Xu read Ma Xiaoling's letter in detail. Without saying anything, he sent Ma Xiaoling to 800 yuan from the post office that day, and added a postscript to the money order: "I will send you tuition, I hope to study hard and wish you progress!" Just one day before the start of school, she received the tuition fee sent by xu teacher in time. She held the tuition fee tightly in her arms and was moved to tears.

This is the relationship between Zhejiang University, Yunhe and students! Later, Ma Xiaoling successfully completed his high school studies with the support of Zhejiang University teachers. In high school, she took an active part in physical exercise. In 2003, she was admitted to lishui university as a tourism management major. In her sophomore year, she got a "provincial tour guide certificate". After graduating in 2006, I came to Shanghai and started hotel management in a hotel. Ma Xiaoling is so nice!

Wang is high flyers from Meiyuan Middle School. From Grade One to Grade Three, his grades are among the best every year. When Wang was in the third year of junior high school, President Wu of Meiyuan Middle School personally told me that she was very likely to be promoted to a county key high school or even admitted to a famous university in the future, but her family was poor and worried that she could not afford to go to high school. "A top-notch seedling withered from now on."

That time I returned to Hangzhou from Yunhe, the name "Wang" remained in my memory. Later, I added Wang to our matching list of Zhejiang University and recommended her to my colleague, Mr. Ge Wei from the Civil Engineering Department of Zhejiang University. Since then, Teacher Ge Wei has sponsored her every year until she graduated from high school.

In 2004, Wang graduated from Yunhe Middle School with honors, and was admitted to Hangzhou Dianzi University as an environmental protection major that year. Now, she is a junior.

Six months ago, I invited three students, Wang and Chen Xianliang, who were studying at Hangzhou University, to get together at Yuquan Campus of Zhejiang University. I took them for a walk in the beautiful Qiushi Garden of Zhejiang University. They stopped in front of the bronze statue of the old headmaster Zhu Kezhen, took a group photo under the glass curtain wall of the modern Shaw Science Museum, and stopped for a long time in front of the "Three Scholars Monument" of Zhejiang University. At this moment, they may be thinking: How far are the goals of bachelor, master and doctor from themselves?

Encouragingly, the new year has come. First, Wang, then Chen Xianliang sent me short messages on their mobile phones, saying that they would continue to take the postgraduate entrance examination and then study for a master's degree after finishing their undergraduate courses. Mei, a junior at Ningbo University, has already started preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination. This past winter vacation, she borrowed all the materials and books from the head teacher who was studying for a doctorate in English, and prepared to "recharge". If these goals are achieved one by one, I think these four outstanding clouds and classmates will be the first batch of experts in the mountain village where their hometown is located!

This is our cloud and our college students! They are eager for strength and realize one life ideal after another in poverty!

They will definitely walk out of the mountain, they have already walked out of the mountain!
