Undergraduate colleges refer to institutions of higher learning that implement undergraduate education, which are divided into public undergraduate colleges and private undergraduate colleges. In Chinese mainland, undergraduate colleges are generally divided into one, two and three. In some areas, one is called the first batch of undergraduate courses, and the two and three are collectively called the second batch of undergraduate courses.
A junior college refers to an ordinary institution of higher learning established with the approval of the Ministry of Education to implement special education. According to the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education, full-time ordinary colleges and universities at the level of normal, medical and public security specialties should be standardized with the suffix of "specialty", while full-time ordinary colleges and universities at the level of non-normal, non-medical and non-public security specialties should gradually be standardized with the suffix of "vocational and technical college" or "higher vocational college".
