Psychological teachers in closed schools: education with praise is not a perfect education.
Education with praise is not a perfect education.

Praise education, also known as appreciation education, refers to appreciating the results of children's behavior with praise language and attitude in order to strengthen children's behavior; Appreciate the child's behavior process and stimulate the child's interest and motivation. Appreciation education can really stimulate children's enthusiasm and self-confidence. But only paying attention to praise without reasonable criticism and strict discipline will have some bad consequences for children's physical and mental development, which is not a perfect education.

If you praise too much, it will cause children's ideological pressure.

Wen Jun, the son of a colleague, is in the fourth grade of primary school. In the eyes of his parents, he has always been a good boy. Parents always praise him for being polite and civilized and not quarreling with others. Recently, parents found that Wen Jun was always sad and unhappy. After careful inquiry, it turned out that it was a naughty child in the class, who often teased and even bullied him because of his myopia. Wen Jun always thought he was a good boy in the eyes of his parents, and he didn't want any conflict with his classmates, so he was so depressed.

This shows that blindly praising children will also label them as "good children" and "honest people", which will cause certain ideological pressure on children, easily make them timid, excessively depressed and restrained, and dare not really express themselves, which is not conducive to their physical and mental development.

If there is only praise, it will make it difficult for children to bear setbacks and blows.

When I was teaching junior one, there was a student in the class who usually studied very well, but in a final exam, his grades fell behind by more than a dozen in the class. He didn't come to school after the results were announced. Later, when I visited my home, I realized that the student's mother often praised her child and never severely criticized him. This time, his grades deteriorated seriously, which led him to have doubts and self-confidence, unable to face failure, so he had the idea of dropping out of school. Of course, after ideological education, students go to study again.

This example tells us that when criticizing a child, we should criticize him. If he thinks he is obviously not doing well, his parents will still say "You are the best" and "It doesn't matter, this has been done" without paying attention to his psychological changes. Educating children can only be counterproductive. If you do something wrong, you should criticize it; if you fail, you should encourage it; if you strictly control it, you should not be soft. This is a scientific way to educate children.

Educating children should combine praise with criticism and strict discipline.

Praise is like the traction of progress, criticism is the driving force of progress, and strict discipline is the correct track of progress. Only comprehensive treatment and scientific application can children make steady and rapid progress!
