Duanmu Ci (520 BC-456 BC), the compound surname Duanmu Ci, was named Zigong. Wei Guoli (now Xun County, Hebi City, Henan Province), the originator of Confucian merchants, was born in the late Spring and Autumn Period. Confucius' favorite pupil, an outstanding representative of Confucianism, and one of the top ten philosophers of Confucius, was eloquent, brilliant and knowledgeable, and served as the prime minister of Lu and Wei. He is also good at business and is the richest man among Confucius disciples.
"Duanmu Legacy" refers to the ethos of honesty and business left by Zigong, which has become the god of wealth believed by the people. Zi Gong was very kind to Huo Zhi, and it was the wind that "a gentleman loves money and takes it wisely", which was highly praised by the business community later.
There are many records of his words and deeds in The Analects of Confucius, and the Historical Records also give him a high evaluation. After Zi Gong's death, he was named "Hou Li" in the 27th year of Tang Kaiyuan, the 2nd year of Song Dazhong and the 9th year of Ming Jiajing.

Confucius (5565438 BC+April 479 BC165438 BC+479 BC), surnamed Kong, was born in Taocheng, Lu in the Spring and Autumn Period, and his ancestral home was Li Yi (now Xiayi County, Henan Province), a great thinker in ancient China.
Confucius initiated private lectures and advocated benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and faith. There are 3,000 disciples, including 72 sages. He led some disciples around the world for fourteen years and revised the Six Classics in his later years. After his death, his disciples and re-disciples recorded the words, deeds and thoughts of Confucius and his disciples and compiled The Analects. This book is regarded as a Confucian classic.
