Introduction to the regulations prohibiting teachers from illegally accepting gifts from students and parents.
The Ministry of Education recently issued six "red lines" in response to the behavior of a few teachers taking advantage of their positions to illegally accept gifts and gifts, including prohibiting teachers from asking for or accepting gifts and gifts, securities and payment vouchers from students and parents in any way. This document, entitled "Regulations on Prohibiting Teachers from Accepting Gifts from Students and Parents in Violation of Regulations", clarifies six "red lines": First, it is strictly forbidden to ask for or accept gifts, securities and payment vouchers from students and parents in any way; Second, it is strictly forbidden to participate in banquets arranged by students and parents that may affect the examination evaluation; Third, it is strictly forbidden to participate in tourism, fitness, leisure and other recreational activities arranged by students and parents; Fourth, it is forbidden for students and parents to pay or reimburse the expenses that should be borne by individual teachers or relatives; Fifth, it is strictly forbidden to obtain kickbacks by selling books, newspapers, daily necessities, social insurance and other commercial services to students; Sixth, it is strictly forbidden to use his position to seek illegitimate interests. The Ministry of Education requires school leading cadres to be strict with themselves, take the lead in implementing the regulations, and earnestly assume management and supervision responsibilities; Teachers should vigorously carry forward the noble morality and consciously resist the unhealthy trend of accepting gifts from students and parents. The "Regulations" emphasize that for those who violate the rules and regulations, they should be found together and investigated together, and typical cases should be publicly notified and exposed by name. If the circumstances are serious, the teacher shall be dismissed according to the law and the teacher qualification shall be revoked; Anyone suspected of committing a crime shall be transferred to judicial organs for handling according to law.
