Chapter II Students Implementing the Compulsory Education Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) in Anhui Province
Article 6 All children who have reached the age of six shall be sent to school by their parents or other legal guardians to receive and complete compulsory education.

Article 7 School-age children and adolescents are exempted from entrance examination. Schools shall not select students in the form of entrance examinations or tests, and shall not take examination certificates and competition results as the basis for admission.

People's governments at all levels shall ensure that school-age children and adolescents are enrolled in the nearest place where their household registration is located. The education administrative department of the people's government at the county level shall, according to the school layout and the number and distribution of school-age children and adolescents within its administrative area, reasonably divide the nearest enrollment area and announce it to the public. Schools shall not refuse school-age children and adolescents in the enrollment area, and shall not enroll students across enrollment areas.

Article 8 School-age children and adolescents who live with their parents or other legal guardians in non-registered places shall receive compulsory education in their places of residence. Their parents or other legal guardians shall submit an application to the school in the enrollment area where they live with their identity certificate, residence and employment certificate and children's identity certificate, and the school shall accept it. If it is indeed difficult for a school to accept, it shall be reported to the education administrative department of the local people's government at the county level to make overall arrangements for admission to the nearest school.

Ninth parents or other legal guardians who go out to work should make proper arrangements for the life and study of left-behind children.

Schools should strengthen the study guidance, life guidance and psychological guidance for left-behind children in rural areas to promote their healthy physical and mental development.

The people's governments at or above the county level shall establish a care system for rural left-behind children to ensure that rural left-behind children receive compulsory education.

Encourage social forces to carry out care and service activities for rural left-behind children, and provide help and convenience for their study and life.

Article 10 The education administrative department of the people's government at the county level and the people's government at the township (town) level shall organize and urge school-age children and adolescents to enter school in time, take measures to prevent school-age children and adolescents from dropping out of school, and jointly do a good job in the resumption of school for dropouts.

Residents' committees and villagers' committees assist the government in urging school-age children and adolescents to enter school, and children and adolescents who have dropped out of school to return to school.

Article 11 A school shall establish a student status file to criticize and educate students who violate the school management system, but shall not be ordered to transfer, suspend, drop out of school or be expelled.

The education administrative department of the people's government at or above the county level shall establish a student status management system and implement information management of student status.
