According to the principle of socialist democracy, socialist countries establish equal relations between people and correct the relationship between individuals and society; Socialist democracy construction must be combined with socialist legal system construction. Through ideological and moral courses in primary schools, legal knowledge courses and constitutional lectures in middle schools and universities, class activities of the Young Pioneers and the Communist Youth League, and extracurricular and off-campus activities, students are educated in democracy and the legal system.
The main contents of socialist democracy and legal education are: ① Educate students what socialist democracy is and how to develop it; Know that when exercising democratic rights, we must not harm the national, social and collective interests and the people's democratic rights. (2) Educating students that the Constitution is the fundamental law of the country, the basis for making all laws, and a powerful weapon to ensure the construction of a socialist modern power. Every citizen in People's Republic of China (PRC) enjoys the rights stipulated by the Constitution and laws, and must also fulfill the obligations stipulated by the Constitution and laws. Everyone should develop the concept and habit of observing and maintaining the Constitution and fight against acts that violate and undermine it. ③ Let students know the dialectical unity of socialist democracy and socialist legal system. Understanding democracy is the premise and foundation of the legal system, and the legal system is the embodiment and guarantee of democracy. The purpose is to protect the fundamental interests of the people, mobilize the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of all the people, and accelerate the socialist modernization. It is necessary to educate students to correctly use democratic rights, use the socialist legal system as a weapon, protect the people's democratic rights, crack down on the sabotage activities of counter-revolutionaries and various criminals, and maintain social order. (4) Educate students on legal knowledge, so that students can understand what law is, the class nature and function of law, and relevant policies and decrees. Guide students to consciously abide by the law and bravely fight against all illegal phenomena.
