2 1 1 Project and 985 Project Brief Introduction
The "2 1 1" project, that is, to build about 100 colleges and universities and a number of key disciplines in 2 1 century, is the largest and highest-level key construction work initiated by the state in the field of higher education since the founding of New China, and it is an important measure for the China government to implement the strategy of "rejuvenating the country through science and education".
Project 985 1998 was put forward at the conference to celebrate the 0/00th anniversary of the founding of Peking University. "In order to realize modernization, China should have a number of first-class universities with world-class standards." The first phase of the 985 Project was first implemented in Peking University and Tsinghua University.

Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, located in Nanjing, referred to as Nanyou for short, is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Post Bureau and Jiangsu Province. It is a national "double-first-class" construction university and a class A construction university in Jiangsu Province's high-level university construction peak plan. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) 18 Plenipotentiary Congress adopted an important resolution: inviting universities and scientific research institutions to participate in ITU activities as their academic members. Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications applied to ITU and was approved. It is the first university in the world to become an academic member of ITU.
Collection resources
The library of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications implements the operation mode of one library and three libraries: the library building of Sanpailou Campus was completed in June, 1983, with a construction area of 753 1 m2 and 850 reading seats; Xianlin Campus Library started construction in 2007, with a building area of 330 18 square meters and 4250 reading seats. Suojincun Campus Library was built in 198 1 year, with a construction area of about 1400 square meters. Now it is a transit library.
