Songxian Secondary Vocational School, formerly known as Songxian No.1 Vocational and Technical Senior High School, was founded in 1985, 10 and 1994 and was designated as "Henan Provincial Model Vocational School" by the Provincial Education Commission.

1995 was upgraded to "songxian vocational secondary school" with the approval of the provincial education commission, and was designated as "key secondary vocational school in Henan province" by the provincial education department in September 2000. In 2009, it was upgraded to an ordinary secondary vocational school with the approval of the Municipal Education Bureau.
