The term "overseas students" originated from the cultural exchange between China and Japan in the Tang Dynasty, and refers to Japanese students who stayed in China to study after sending envoys from the Tang Dynasty back to China. Now it generally refers to students who study or study abroad.
The number of students studying abroad has increased rapidly.
According to the data of the Ministry of Education, in 20 15, the total number of Chinese students studying abroad was 523,700, and the number of returnees was 409 1 10,000, an increase of 12. 1% over the previous year. In the 37 years from 1978 to the end of 20 15, the total number of overseas students reached 4042 1000, of which 79.87% returned to China for development after graduation.
Apply for settlement procedures
Returned students should apply to the local "Personnel Returned Office" for settlement procedures and household registration transfer because of vague information such as household registration or emigration.
