Jinggangshan University, located in Ji 'an City, Jiangxi Province, is a key university jointly supported by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education. It is a first-class discipline construction university in Jiangxi Province, a counterpart supporting university of Tongji University, a master's degree awarding unit, and a national demonstration base for red classic art education in universities.
The school was established in June 1958. 1June 1977, 65438+1October,1August 1978, on the basis of the former Jinggangshan University, Jinggangshan Branch of Jiangxi Normal University and Ji 'an Branch of Jiangxi Medical College were established successively. On this basis, Ji 'an Normal University and Jinggangshan Medical College were established in April 1982 and April 1993 respectively.
In March 2000, Ji 'an Teachers College merged with Ji 'an Education College to form Jinggangshan Teachers College. In July 2003, Jinggangshan Normal College, Jinggangshan Medical College and Jinggangshan Vocational and Technical College merged to form Jinggangshan College and Jinggangshan University. In June 2007, it was renamed Jinggangshan University.
As of May 2023, the school has three campuses, namely Qingyuan, Jifu and Changgang, with a campus area of 2,458.7 mu and a school building area of 737,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research equipment is more than 420 million yuan, and the library has more than 265,438 +0.4 million books. There are 15 teaching colleges (departments) and 3 management colleges, 1 directly affiliated hospitals and 3 non-directly affiliated hospitals.

As of May, 2023, the school has more than 620 faculty members/kloc-0, including full-time teachers 1279, faculty members with master's degree or above 1059, including 359 teachers with doctoral degrees. Second-level professor 16, including winner of National Outstanding Youth Fund 1 person, winner of China Youth Science and Technology Award 1 person, winner of National Key R&D Program 1 person, winner of National Outstanding Youth Fund 1 person.
By May 2023, the school had four national first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites, two provincial first-class specialty construction sites and seven provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites.
