The founder originally planned to establish a college in the northern region and actively sought for an ideal campus. In order to cooperate with the government's policy of shortening the gap between urban and rural areas and dispersing higher education resources, he chose to set up a school in Miaoli County, a central region lacking higher education resources.
Taiwan Province Yuda Technology and Business University originally applied for the establishment of Yuda Business Home Economics College, but because there was no university in Miaoli County at that time, it was impossible to improve the level of industrial and commercial education. In order to improve the local cultural and educational level and promote the development and prosperity of the central region, an application was made to the Ministry of Education for the establishment of Yuda College of Commerce and Technology at the first board meeting of the first session in August 1997, and it was approved by the Ministry of Education in September of the same year to carry out various preparations for upgrading to a technical college.
1997 10/9, Yuda Technology and Business University started to break ground. The following year 1 month, after the Miaoli county government issued the miscellaneous building license, construction started in an all-round way on the second day of the following month, and the first phase of the comprehensive building, student dormitory, sports ground and various facilities started. 1999 In July, the first phase of the project was completed. In September, freshmen from five departments, namely Finance Department, Accounting Department, Information Management Department, Enterprise Management Department and Applied English Department, were enrolled.
1September, 1999, Taiwan Province Yuda Technology and Business University began to recruit freshmen from five departments, namely, Finance and Finance Department, Accounting Department, Information Management Department, Enterprise Management Department and Applied English Department. In 2000, four departments of marketing and circulation management, applied economy, international enterprise and applied Japanese were approved, and in 20001year, information management college and enterprise management college were established, which took a big step towards research-oriented education in higher technical and vocational education. In 2002, the school set up four new departments: finance and law, child care, leisure management and Chinese application.
