Quacquarelli Symonds (QS, Chinese name "Quacquarelli Symonds") is an international higher education consulting company in Britain, which was established in 1990.
QS Company has established offices in many parts of the world, including its headquarters in London, new york, Washington, Paris, Singapore, Sydney and Shanghai. In addition to organizing various educational promotion activities, QS also publishes a lot of information about higher education, among which the ranking of world universities is the most concerned.
QS World University Ranking 20 10 is recognized by the IREG- International Academic Ranking and Excellence Association established by the International University Ranking Expert Group (IREG), and it is one of the most influential rankings in the world. Together with Times Higher Education World University Ranking, American News World University Ranking and World University Soft Science Academic Ranking, it is recognized as four more authoritative world university rankings.
Historical evolution:
1, QS was entrusted by The Times Higher Education Supplement from 2004 to 2009 to collect data of world university rankings and jointly published the -QS world university rankings.
2. Starting from 20 10, QS launched its own annual ranking of world universities, namely QS World University Ranking.
3. Since 20 10, QS World University Ranking has been recognized by IREG- International Academic Ranking and Excellence Observatory established by International Ranking Expert Group.
