Second, make clear the students' sleep time requirements. Schools, families and relevant parties should work together to ensure adequate sleep time for primary and secondary school students.
Third, make overall arrangements for school schedules. The provincial education administrative department should set out from the need of ensuring students' adequate sleep and reasonably determine the schedule of primary and secondary schools according to the actual situation. Primary school starts at 8: 20 in the morning and middle school starts at 8: 00. Schools may not require students to participate in unified education and teaching activities in advance. For individual students who arrive at school in advance due to special family circumstances, the school should open the door in advance and make proper arrangements. Reasonable arrangement of recess and afternoon class time, places and schools where conditions permit should ensure students' necessary lunch break; Boarding schools should arrange their work and rest schedules reasonably to ensure that students meet the prescribed sleep time requirements.
Fourth, prevent schoolwork from occupying too much sleep time. Primary and secondary schools should improve the effectiveness of classroom teaching, strengthen the overall management of homework, reasonably control the total amount of students' written homework in strict accordance with the requirements of relevant regulations, and guide students to make full use of self-study classes or after-school service time, so that primary school students can basically complete their written homework at school, and middle school students can complete most of their written homework at school, so as to prevent students from working too long after returning home and occupying normal sleep time. The end time of training in off-campus training institutions shall not be later than 20:30, and homework shall not be arranged in any form such as pre-class preparation, after-class consolidation, homework practice, and WeChat group punching.
Fifth, arrange students' bedtime reasonably. Primary and secondary schools should guide parents and students, make schedules for students' work and rest, reasonably determine students' bedtime in the evening, implement self-management, regular work and rest, and go to bed on time on the premise of ensuring students' sleep time requirements, combined with students' individual sleep situation, lunch break and other realities. Pupils generally go to bed no later than 2 1: 20; Junior high school students are generally no later than 22: 00; High school students are usually no later than 23:00. If individual students haven't finished their homework by bedtime, parents should urge them to go to bed on time, don't stay up late and ensure adequate sleep; Teachers should help students analyze the reasons, strengthen academic guidance, put forward improvement strategies, and adjust the content and quantity of homework when necessary.
