Pingyi County belongs to Linyi City, Shandong Province, and Pingyi was established in the Western Han Dynasty. During the Xinmang period, the post-Pingyi State was abolished, and Nanwuyang County was established as Huan Xuan County. After several name changes and boundary changes, Feixian County was renamed Pingyi County on April 1946, which is still in use today.
