Buddha said: What does it mean to have no brains and no wisdom? Since there is no difference, how can there be a difference and no difference? Is this a paradox?
Indifferent wisdom, also called single-mindedness, refers to the true wisdom that leaves the relative stage of subjective and objective and achieves real equality.

Simply put, undifferentiated wisdom is the wisdom that operates equally from both subjective and objective aspects, and it is also the real wisdom view that transcends ordinary conceptual thinking. Indifferent wisdom belongs to worldly wisdom and is the corresponding heart of Buddhist wisdom.

There are three kinds of undifferentiated wisdom, namely:

First, there is no difference in wisdom between Canada.

It is the wisdom of thinking, also called the wisdom of practice, the karma of Tao, and the wisdom cultivated by a bodhisattva who has added a position in front of the earth.

To put it simply, it is to turn the independent minds of ordinary people into undifferentiated wisdom, that is, to leap out from the sacred knowledge.

If we want to turn ordinary people's sense of separation into the unique wisdom of saints, we need a correct choice.

The process is to listen to the Buddha repeatedly, and then start practicing, abandon all kinds of self-deception born of ignorance since the robbery, and get rid of all kinds of upside-down delusions and doubts in ordinary people's hearts. There is no doubt that their troubles are exhausted and they can stay away from parting.

Master Xuanzang translated this distinction into "Happy Foot".

What does happiness mean?

That's because the ignorance and confusion have been gradually eliminated since the beginning of the robbery, and my heart is full of joy. I no longer worry about doubts and don't need to think alone. So it's called "Happy Feet".

This process of spiritual practice was once likened by the ancients to wedge out a wedge, that is, driving one wedge into a gap in the wood to wedge out another wedge, and finally restoring the original appearance of the wood. Destroy the wedge of delusion from right view and restore the true colors.

Second, there is no difference in wisdom at all.

This is empirical wisdom, also known as innate wisdom, fundamental wisdom and the body of Tao.

"On Cheng Wei's Knowledge" said: "There is no difference in wisdom. If you witness the truth revealed by two empty spaces, you can sleep with each other without boundaries. "

"Sanzang's Law Book" said: "This wisdom does not depend on the heart, but in a foreign land in Bak Yan, everything is true, and there is no difference in wisdom. If people close their eyes, there is no difference, and there is no difference in intelligence. This is a fundamental wisdom. "

Fundamental wisdom is the basis of all kinds of wisdom, because it can prove that it is as wonderful, as equal, as true and without difference as truth.

In the interpretation of Mahayana, metaphor is used to compare additional wisdom with fundamental wisdom:

If a mute knows the meaning of the realm, but can't express it, it is to add wisdom; If a mute says nothing, he is in the realm of acceptance, which is the ultimate wisdom.

Simply put, just like a mute who has never eaten honey, but knows how sweet honey is, he can't express it. This is wisdom. If a mute is eating honey, but enjoys the state of eating honey quietly, but can't tell others the delicious taste of honey, this is the fundamental wisdom.

One is theoretical understanding, and the other is personal witness, which is the different order of practice.

Third, there is no difference in wisdom after that.

Also known as wisdom after learning, it is the wisdom developed from observation, the fruit of Tao and the wisdom that distinguishes all differences.

According to the theory of "only knowing", ultimate wisdom and acquired wisdom belong to the same kind of wisdom, but their functions are different. Only by relying on ultimate wisdom, acquired wisdom can grasp the truth of Buddhism, and ultimate wisdom can play a role in understanding the secular world.

"Sanzang Fa Hao" said: "It depends on the heart, because the external environment and environmental wisdom are different. For example, when a person opens his eyes and various colors appear, he will get this wisdom after his fundamental wisdom and get wisdom after he becomes famous. " This state, as the Diamond Sutra said: "If people have a purpose, the sun is shining and they see all kinds."

If the basic wisdom is likened to a mute eating honey, but he can't tell others its delicacy, then the later wisdom is like an eloquent eating honey and telling everyone that he has met the right person.

Ordinary people have different hearts: because of different hearts, there are right and wrong, good and evil, beauty and ugliness.

There is no difference between Buddha and Buddha: because there is no difference, there is no trouble and greed for love. No fame and fortune, so freedom;

The difference between Buddha and sentient beings is rooted in the difference of ignorance; All beings are fascinated, so the virtual image is true. Distinguish between illusions;

Buddha realizes the Tao. Seeing all kinds of images is an illusion, and they are all made out of nothing. So it is the only way, so it is one of them.

So it is not a paradox that there is difference and there is no difference.

Extended data:

Indifference is a Buddhist term. This is the mind of parting feelings. There are two kinds, one is no leakage and the other is no leakage.

There is no difference between the heart and the cloud, and neither is the heart and the cloud. If there is no difference between the mind and the heart, if there are six senses of centering or eight senses of centering, and five senses of eyes, it is said that the state is self-consistent and the heart is now measured. They are three kinds: random thinking, counting degrees and self-nature.

There is no difference, no two kinds of thinking, no self. Note: Indifference is not ignorance of good and evil, but treating people of good and evil equally, with sincerity and without distinction.

Unsolved explanation

Refers to the true wisdom of giving up subjective and objective aspects and achieving equality. That is to say, the bodhisattva's first entry into the Tao is due to the truth of various laws, which can take the differences, the realm of wisdom is consistent, and the wisdom is equal. In other words, it is far away from the secular understanding of the false distinction between names, ideas and other concepts, and only the understanding of truth is the undifferentiated truth.

This kind of wisdom belongs to the wisdom of the world and the wisdom without leakage, and it is the corresponding heart of Buddhism and wisdom. There are three kinds of wisdom, adding thread, being fundamental and gaining later:

(1) The wisdom of thinking is called the "cause" of the Tao.

(2) Empirical wisdom is called the "body" of the Tao, that is, there is no difference in wisdom at all, and there is no difference between worldly wisdom and fundamental wisdom.

(3) To use its wisdom from the perspective of observation is called the wisdom without distinction after, also known as the wisdom after, which is the "fruit" of the Tao.

According to Cheng Zhiwei's On Volume 10, there is no difference between wisdom and post-wisdom, but their functions are different. Only the latter wisdom can master the Buddhist truth according to the fundamental wisdom, and the latter wisdom can play a role in understanding the secular world.
